The EFTA Council met on 11 March for its second meeting in 2008. The EFTA Ambassadors discussed the ongoing negotiations on free trade agreements with Algeria, Colombia, Peru and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as well as the prospects for developing free trade relations with future partners.
The Council approved a technical assistance project with Lebanon and a number of technical cooperation projects in the field of statistics to take place in cooperation with the EU Statistical Office.
